Hey there, just a heads up for users of the Snapchat or McDonald's app. I got the newest versions of both apps working, while jailbroken, without any problems. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 14.2 jailbroken with Taurine v1.0.0.

Important

1. I used [[AppData]] to clear cache and data of both apps after installing the tweaks and configuring them, but before opening the apps. [[Apps Manager]] should be fine as well but I haven't tested it.
2. Make sure to press "Apply" in the top right corner of the libhooker Configurator app when you're done. A respring should be enough but you can always Reboot Userspace if you'd like.
3. This only works on Taurine/Odyssey because Unc0ver doesn't use libhooker but Substitute instead, which in my experience gets detected easier. Unc0ver users should be following this guide for Snapchat: [Tutorial] [Update] How to not get banned on Snapchat. 95% Successful. I have no solution for the McDonald's app when using Unc0ver but someone in the comments suggested [[FlyJB X]].

It can't even hold 40% charge overnight, I am very frustrated atp and I can only update it to the latest iOS 26.

But I am scared if updating it will make the condition even worse so is there anyway to downgrade it or fixing the battery draining issue?

I made Showcase, a jailbreak app that turns a cellular iPad into a CarPlay screen.

This started because my car’s onboard system is terrible, and I had an old iPad Air 1 in great condition sitting for years. The hard part was getting through the CarPlay handshake in software, which meant reverse engineering Apple’s CarPlay Simulator, iAP2, AirPlay, and the MFi authentication path.

Now you install Showcase on the iPad, start it, then pair from the normal iPhone CarPlay settings page like you would with a real car. No extra hardware.

You need a jailbroken cellular iPad on iOS 12 or later. The cellular part matters because Showcase uses Personal Hotspot for the CarPlay video stream.

My tested setup so far:

iPad Air 1 cellular, iOS 12.5.8, checkra1n

iPhone 15, iOS 26.2.1

I would really appreciate beta testers with other cellular iPads, especially newer hardware and newer jailbreak environments, so we can build a clean compatibility list together.

I've been trying to jailbreak my iPhone 7 because its baseband is broken.

I’ve tried checkra1n, palera1n, and WinRa1n, but none of them are able to jailbreak my phone.

Whenever I put the phone into DFU mode and start the jailbreak process, it exits DFU mode automatically and shows the error: status_exploit_timeout_error.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Also, I’m unable to enter DFU mode directly from Recovery Mode. I have to boot the phone normally first, and only then can I enter DFU mode.

Whenever I put the phone into DFU mode and start the jailbreak process, it exits DFU mode automatically and shows the error: status_exploit_timeout_error.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Also, I’m unable to enter DFU mode directly from Recovery Mode. I have to boot the phone normally first, and only then can I enter DFU mode.

Trying to install TrollStore on my iPad mini 4 (IOS 15.7.8) and running into an issue where TrollRestore.exe launches but the window stays completely blank (Windows laptop).

I’ve downloaded everything from the CFW guide, installed ITunes from Apple and not MS Store, etc.

Tried troubleshooting with AI and it had me downgrade python to 3.12 and turn off some security settings like SAC, memory integrity, etc., but nothing worked.

Ciao a tutti, voglio documentare la mia esperienza tutto sommato positiva usando checkm8-A5 per entrare in SSH Ramdisk su un iPad Mini 1 disabilitato — iPad2,5 / A1432 con iOS 9.3.5.

Non ho trovato praticamente nulla di specifico online su questa combinazione, quindi questo post vuole colmare quel vuoto. E sì, c'è un colpo di scena finale, ma ci arrivo.

Il mio caso

Avevo l'iPad disabilitato dopo troppi tentativi di passcode sbagliati. Ho una password alfanumerica, non un semplice PIN, quindi il bruteforce è fuori discussione. Credevo di ricordarmela e che mi bastasse solo poterla reinserire.

Spoiler: non era quella che pensavo. Ma almeno ora ho tentativi illimitati e ho documentato ogni passaggio per chi si trovasse nella stessa situazione.

Arduino clone vs originale

Tutti consigliano un Arduino originale. In realtà quello che conta è che il chip ATmega328P sia in formato DIP, il grande componente rettangolare nero con piedini su due lati, fisicamente estraibile dalla board. Il formato SMD è piatto e saldato direttamente al PCB, e non funziona.

Il mio clone Elegoo alla fine ha funzionato, ma con molta instabilità. Ci ho perso ore.

⚠️ Alternativa fortemente consigliata: Raspberry Pi Pico

Anche se (come me) avete già un Arduino compatibile, valutate seriamente di usare un Raspberry Pi Pico. È di una semplicità disarmante e ha sempre funzionato al primo colpo, senza tentennamenti. Con Arduino invece a volte non si smuoveva da usb state: 12 senza motivo apparente, l'unica era riprovare.

Arduino è pronto. Ora bisogna collegare il dispositivo.

Procedura di collegamento

1. Metti l'iPad in DFU. Il metodo più semplice(per me): con iPad acceso e collegato al Mac, tieni premuto Power+Home finché lo schermo si spegne(8 secondi circa) e scompare dal Finder. Rilascia Power, continua a tenere Home(altri 8 secondi circa) finché non riappare nel Finder.
2. Stacca Arduino dal computer
3. Collega l'iPad allo shield
4. Riattacca Arduino al PC per alimentarlo (necessaria una porta USB-A nativa - con adattatore su Mac non si alimentava correttamente, anche con il jack barrel dava problemi)
5. Apri il Serial Monitor (l'apertura del serial monitor farà lampeggiare il led)

Sequenza di quasi successo:

Checkm8 started
usb state: 12
usb state: 20
usb state: 40
usb state: 50
usb state: 51
usb state: 90
Non Apple DFU found (vendorId: 0, productId: 0)

Può ripetersi anche due volte, è normale.

Poi quando inizia a spammare qualcosa tipo: heap_feng_shui...

Aspetta il messaggio DONE! o almeno 15 secondi dal led fisso.

Se resta su usb state: 12 - ripeti da capo.

NOTA IMPORTANTE

Con Arduino a volte non dava proprio segni di vita e non si smuoveva dal usb state:12 è veramente poco stabile, l'unica è riprovare o usare il Raspberry

Una volta avviato il ramdisk, nel terminale digita:

Problema SSH Ramdisk (risolto)

Ho riscontrato che la build di default(10B329) avviava il ramdisk ma non montava /mnt2, mentre con la 13A452 la connessione SSH falliva sempre con:

kex_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer

Dopo aver aperto una issue su GitHub, LukeZGD ha rilasciato un fix nella stessa giornata. Il problema era che il ramdisk aveva dimensioni insufficienti per i file necessari su dispositivi A5.

Connessione SFTP

Apri Cyberduck o FileZilla con questi parametri:

Protocollo: SFTP
Host:       127.0.0.1
Porta:      6414
Utente:     root
Password:   alpine

Modifica dei file

Percorso: /mnt2/mobile/Library/Preferences/

Scarica sul desktop com.apple.springboard.plist e aprilo con Xplist.

C'è ne uno omonimo nella directory principale, se puoi modificalo, sennò lascialo stare.

Modifica:

• SBDeviceLockBlocked → false
• SBDeviceLockFailedAttempts → 0 (o un valore negativo come -999)
• SBDeviceLockBlockStateGeneration → 0
• SBDeviceLockBlockTimeInterval → 0
• Qualsiasi altra chiave che inizia con SBDeviceLockBlock → 0

Elimina solo se presenti:

• File con nomi spam tipo com.apple.springboard.plist.qS5w7ff

Percorso: /mnt2/mobile/Library/SpringBoard/

Modifica:

• LockoutStateJournal.plist con gli stessi valori impostati in com.apple.springboard.plist

Nota C'è chi dice che alcuni file come il LockoutStateJournal.plist si possono eliminare, io per sicurezza non l'ho fatto.

Ricarica i modificati nella posizione esatta di origine.

Riavvio: nel terminale digita:

reboot_bak

Nota sulla cartella DCIM sui dispostivi A5

Le foto in /mnt2/mobile/Media/DCIM non sono accessibili dal ramdisk. Non credo sia un problema di permessi - i file sono cifrati con chiavi derivate dal passcode tramite Data Protection di iOS. Senza il passcode corretto, i dati presumo rimangono illeggibili anche come root.

La procedura ha funzionato perfettamente. Il vero problema è che una volta dentro ho scoperto che la password che credevo di ricordare era sbagliata.

Ho una password alfanumerica impostata quando avevo circa 8-11 anni, probabilmente qualcosa legato a videogiochi, cartoni o soprannomi dell'epoca. Ho già provato oltre 60 combinazioni senza risultato.

Se avete idee su come recuperare una password dimenticata da bambino, o conoscete strumenti che possano aiutare in questo caso specifico, sono tutto orecchi nei commenti o in privato.

I disabled developer mode the see if Revolut works. Now. Now i cannot bootstrap because the developer mode is off. But the option to enable in settings > privacy disappeared 😱

If you’re having issues with Carbridge (i.e. apps freezing, not being able to close certain mirrored apps, not being able to open other apps after closing) try reinjecting your mirrored apps. ALSO Opa334’s NotRecording seems to solve any DRM issues with CarPlay. No longer seeing black screen w only audio or endless loading scroll. I’ve tried with Netflix and I assume it’ll work with other DRM stream platforms. Good luck!

An LDreatart will make it work temporarily— but it goes gray again. I disabled tweaks in photos and in springboard and it didn’t seem to help.

I enabled the option on Nugget, but once phone rebooted and i opened the Watch app on my phone, there was no connect option (the camera scan thing). Did the feature not get enabled? does this combination not work?

Hello. I was looking for some way to record my iPad 4's screen. I wanted to record some Pac-Man Championship Edition gameplays.

Yesterday I found about CCRecord. Thing is that everytime I record the screen, for some reason the video is like flipped. I tested with two games with different display. Pac-Man is landscape, Bug Panic is portrait. Both look flipped for whatever reason. Check the pictures attached.

I think I followed all steps:
-I installed CCRecord tweak from Cydia, and the option appeared in Control Center but disabled.

Project Suntory is Apple's Internal codename for Apple Music Sing. i stumbled upon this feature while looking for a bug in the console (for my TwentyOne tweak).

PrepareVocalsControl [unsupported: Suntory not supported on this device]

vocal control supported:NO available:NO enabled:NO delay:0ms

The tweak aims to bypass these hardware checks by hooking to MSVDeviceSupportsVocalAttenuation

i guess the main reason why Apple didn't ship this feature to A11 and A12 are due to their weaker Neural Engine (NPU) compared to A13. in the case of the 2nd Gen SE, it has the A13 processor but only got 3GBs of RAM. it's not enough to run the local ML model.

please let me know if it works on your A11, A12, or 2nd Gen SE. i currently have an iPhone Xr. it produces karaoke but it has choppy audio output (it sounds like playing a scratched up CD), and heats up my phone. maybe its due to the combination of a weak processor and 3GBs of RAM. cool experiment nevertheless! :)

Since publishing the tweak, my life has become busier, and I no longer use my iPhone 12 regularly. Unfortunately I believe, within the past few months, older versions of the McDonald's app have broken more.

Due to these reasons, I have decided to not continue working on this project. I will be archiving the GitHub repo soon. Also, my package repo will be terminated in one month.

To fix it, you have to get the latest supported version from appstore (3.47.7).

It is officially not supported, but I know how to fix it. Mind that you have to be jailbroken and you will need Filza file manager.

In Filza, go to /var/Bundle/Application and here you find your YouTube Music folder, there, locate to YouTubeMusic.app folder and scroll down until you find info.plst. There you need to click on > Root and find CFBundleShortVersionString and CFBundleVersion and in both of these change the version number from 3.47.7 to 8.19.52. Now you should be ready to go, just dont forget to click save when exiting out of the info.plst file. YouTube Music should partially work now, it is kinda broken and many things don't work, but the core function of searching and listening to a song works, you just gotta press one of the tabs on top when searchong something (if nothing appears when searched press "Tracks" or "Videos"). With this fix you can not view creator's page (it will appear empty) and the home page doesn't work, but library seems to work np, but you can't view albums. Also, from my experience it doesn't seem like there are ads in there, which is cool. Background play doesn't work, but maybe it is possible to fix with some tweak or manually edit some .plst files idk. Anyway, enjoy YouTube Music on you beloved iOS 10 device.

hello I was wondering if any of you guys can make a script to downgrade iOS 10 (any versio) to iOS 9 (any version) that supports 32 and 64 bit iPhones ( if its tethered in fine with it)
