[Tutorial] Prevent Snapchat and McDonald's JB detection

Hey there, just a heads up for users of the Snapchat or McDonald's app. I got the newest versions of both apps working, while jailbroken, without any problems. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 14.2 jailbroken with Taurine v1.0.0.

Important

I used [[AppData]] to clear cache and data of both apps after installing the tweaks and configuring them, but before opening the apps. [[Apps Manager]] should be fine as well but I haven't tested it.
Make sure to press "Apply" in the top right corner of the libhooker Configurator app when you're done. A respring should be enough but you can always Reboot Userspace if you'd like.
This only works on Taurine/Odyssey because Unc0ver doesn't use libhooker but Substitute instead, which in my experience gets detected easier. Unc0ver users should be following this guide for Snapchat: [Tutorial] [Update] How to not get banned on Snapchat. 95% Successful. I have no solution for the McDonald's app when using Unc0ver but someone in the comments suggested [[FlyJB X]].

Snapchat

I'm using the newest version of the Snapchat app (v11.21.0.38 in this case) without getting banned so far. I did so by using the [[libhooker Configurator]] app and disabling "Enable Tweaks" under "Applications > Snapchat". I have only been using it for a day, but all my previous attempts have gotten me banned within minutes. Afterwards clear cache and data, and apply like described above in the important section.

McDonald's

Also the newest version (v2.17.0 in this case) but with [[libhooker Configurator]] and [[Hestia]] combined. This time, in the libhooker Configurator app, "Enable Tweaks" is enabled under "Applications > McDonald's" but with "Override Configuration" also enabled, set to Allow, and then only Hestia (in my case it was called _Mk8UHEST=xxxxx) enabled. Then in your Settings app, go to Hestia, make sure it's Enabled and then under "Enabled Applications" check the McDonald's app. Afterwards clear cache and data, and apply like described above in the important section.

This guide outlines the process for creating a modified YouTube application using your preferred tweaks (YTLite, YTLitePlus, uYouEnhanced, etc).

1: Preparation & Decryption

Before starting the build process, you must get a decrypted version of the YouTube app from your device.

Clear Previous Installations: Uninstall any existing YouTube applications currently on your iPhone.
Download Official App: Install the latest compatible version of YouTube directly from the iOS App Store.
Decrypt the IPA: Install TrollDecrypt
- Use the tool to decrypt the YouTube app you just installed.
Host the File: Upload the resulting decrypted .ipa file to a file-sharing service. Dropbox is recommended.

2: Building the App via GitHub Actions

For this example, I will use YTLite though the steps are identical for all of them.

Initial Setup (First Time Only):

Fork: Click the Fork button on the top right of the repository.
Permissions: Navigate to Settings > Actions in your forked repo and ensure "Read and Write permissions" are enabled.
In the future if you need to rebuild the app (for an update) all you have to do is take your existing fork and replace your decrypted IPA link with a newer version.

The Build Process:

Sync: In your fork, click Sync fork and select Update branch if your version is out of date.
Run Workflow: Go to the Actions tab, select Create YouTube Plus app, and click the Run workflow dropdown on the right.

3: Installation

Once the custom IPA is ready, follow these steps to install it using TrollStore:

Transfer to iPhone: If you used Dropbox earlier, upload the patched IPA there.
Download via Safari: Open Dropbox in safari and click download on the patched IPA
Install: Click your downloads in Safari and install the patched IPA (Alternatively locate the file in the iOS Files app, tap it, and share it to TrollStore for installation.)

When it comes to YTLite specifically I have noticed that having "Show Playback End Time" enabled will make the app crash, as well as having playback enabled on your feed (normal Youtube Setting), though your mileage may vary.

Other than that everything is working as expected (I am on Youtube v21.10.2)

Hi there, is it possible to edit the capabilities of an already installed profile? For context, we use iPads at school (and had to pay for them) and they asked to install their profile to get WiFi. The profile also allows Apple classroom screen sharing without my consent. I am on iPadOs 16.1.1 on iPad8,9. Technically, we can remove the profile, but they notice after a few weeks and want to physically check it. So it would be really helpful if the profile could stay installed, but not do anything.

Apple has released iOS/iPadOS 15.8.7, and during this release, Apple has finally patched KFD landa, meaning that Dopamine and TrollInstallerX no longer work on this version of iOS. This means that there is no semi-untethered jailbreak for iOS 15.8.7. DO NOT update to this version if you wish to continue using Dopamine.

This does not mean that you cannot jailbreak at all. You are still able to jailbreak with palera1n. Additionally, TrollStore will still work. The CoreTrust bug still remains unpatched, you just have to install it via TrollRestore or palera1n and TrollStore Helper now.

No new jailbreak release is on the horizon, and it's unlikely we'll see one in the near future.

I'd like to ask former jailbreakers who switched from iPhones to Android: which Android should I choose?

For me, the important features are:

Assign AI to the side button, like Siri. For example, "set an alarm," "call [someone]." And also questions to an AI assistant, like ChatGPT. On iPhone, SiriPlus does this.
Ability to customize the screen and status bar. For example, on iPhone, NiceBarX does this.
Use gestures to open the control center from the bottom up or from the side, so you don't have to reach to the top.
Is there something like SquidExtender? It allows using extra keys on the keyboard. I often use the AI button to translate or rephrase a text, etc.
A replacement for AutoUnlockX. For example, Vivo always unlocks, even when there's a notification...
TwistNTurn. When rotating the screen, an icon pops up asking if I want to switch it to landscape format.

Im playing on ps4 slim 9.00fw, i installed sifu from (dlpsgame), but the game wont work right, it kept loading for a long time, and when it started it also kept loading and stuttering, i cant play it cuz for every 2 minutes it stopped for 5 minutes, idk what is wrong with it i tried it in many versions ( US and EUR) and tried to play it on base and in different updates, is there a fix or a certain version that doesn't have this isuue?

On iOS 6 for me, iMessage and FaceTime (with correct credentials) spin verifying for about 15 seconds, then throwing me back out onto the login screen again with no error, and game center only works for about 4-5 hours before I have to launch the set up again to be logged in. Does anyone know any fixes for this? It would really help me out. I have all the certificates from tlsroot, and a few from Apples official website. I have SSLPatch installed, as well as some other fixes like FaceTimeX.

I recently deleted the Apple Podcasts app while trying to salvage any phone storage I could, and noticing that the apps image cache was taking up about 3 GB of storage.

After solving my storage issue I reinstalled Apple Podcasts. But now it’s no longer appearing in my phone settings both, under system apps, or just the apps section in general. Meaning I can no longer access the settings to the app and disable automatic episode downloading and woke up this morning to my storage yet again being full and Apple Podcasts accounting for 14GB of it!

Is there anyway the issue of it not appearing in my phone settings jailbreak related and if not is there any type of tweak that would allow me to either add it to the phone settings or at the very least access the apps settings to disable automatic downloads?!

Introducing BaconJIT: a web based JIT enabler for iOS 16+!

Hi all, I've been working on a separate project for a while now that requires JIT, and I realized that there's currently no easy way to enable JIT on iOS 16.7.x/17.0.1-17.3.1. So, I decided to make one! While this JIT enabler requires a computer, I am also working on an on-device JIT enabler for 16-17.3.1, specifically targeting iOS 16.7.x/17.0.1-17.3.1 (for reasons stated above). That one currently works on iOS 16.x, but I will not be releasing it until I can get iOS 17 working as well.

In order to use BaconJIT, you must first install BaconJITBridge on your computer (supports Linux, macOS, BSD, and Windows). The downloads for this can be found on the website. BaconJITBridge just acts as well, a bridge so that your web browser can communicate with your idevice. Most of the actual JIT enabling code happens locally on the website itself as to keep the binary as lightweight as possible. If you are on Linux/BSD, you must also have usbmuxd installed (this comes with most distress), and for Windows you must have iTunes installed. You can enable BaconJIT to run silently in the background at PC startup, in my testing it takes up no more than 10mb of ram while idle (usually only a few hundred kilobytes).

Hey all I am on ipados 13.1.2 on an ipad air 2 so compatible with checkra1n tho I am jailbroken with unc0ver, I am jailbroken rootful does anyone know any game changing tweaks I may have not heard about?

As the title states, I recently replaced the battery of my jailbroken iPhone XR on iOS 14.3, and now the system notifications are driving me crazy. Is there a way to block/permanently clear notifications from the Settings app, since the app in question has no such option? I don’t care about not seeing battery health in Settings, since I already have an app that does that and more.

No, I am not lazy, I’ve spent two evenings researching the problem and it seems like I do need help.

I got a brand new 13 mini but presumably made for OAE, MLJF3AH/A model. Yes, my setup is somewhat bizzare, it’s a white plastic macbook7.1 2009 running Monterey under OCLP 2.4.1. Yes, the system report tells me there's an iphone on usb port, the finder sometimes can detect my 13 mini for a few seconds, and it recognises a phone when I put it in DFU mode, but stil refuses to restore even with the right .ipsw file. Monterey once managed to download some extra software needed to operate my mini but it changed nothing. I don't want to upgrade ios since I plan to jailbreake the thing, so I have to stay on 15.2 which I got with the phone.

Anyone may have experienced something similar to give me some advice where to go from here, please ?

I recently jailbroke my iPhone 4S with Legacy to use it as my musicplayer. Now I wanted to see what tweaks there are on Cydia, but I can't seem to open the app. I tried restarting the phone but it still wouldn't work.

Cydia shows up when I doubleclick the home button, but I can't open it to use. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Edit: Apparently I am again on iOS 9.3.6. Any idea what went wrong? I did plug it in my macbook to load some music through iTunes.

Edit II: I did the entire process with carbon again and now it works again. I still don't know what happened, since I'm new to jailbreaking. So any hints as to how this happened are still appreciated. Also, it still runs iOS 9.3.6.

Any tweak recommendations? (iPhone SE 2020, iOS 16.4.1)

I use iphone SE 2016 (iOS 15.8.6), as I love the size. The phone is in good condition, but the issue is that some of the apps I use (banking) will only work on iOS 16+. My only upgrade option is iphone 13 mini (due to the size), but I cannot find a new unit and refurbished is sold by 3rd party and condition is questionable. So, I am trying to continue using SE 2016.

I use it for call, receiving OTP & 2FA and payment apps.

I have an iPhone X running iOS 16.7.12 with a Palera1n roothide jailbreak (palehide + dopamine [roothide]). When I try to inject a dylib into Trollfools within any user application, the dylib is successfully injected, but the app crashes upon opening. However, injecting into TrollStore applications works without any crashes.

I recently updated Discord to version 247.0 (to keep the audio call support) on my jailbroken iOS 14.4.1 device and noticed the UI layout changed: https://imgur.com/a/kvagt1K

Previously, I could open the server/channel sidebar on the left while the chat remained visible on the right (split view style). Now when I open the sidebar it completely replaces the chat view instead of showing both at the same time.

I know Discord removed the toggle for the old layout, but I’m wondering if anyone has managed to force the old layout back via tweaks, experiment flags, or hooks.

Things I already checked:

com.hammerandchisel.discord.plist (nothing relevant there)
looked for layout flags but didn’t see anything obvious
aware that Discord uses server-side experiment flags

Since I'm jailbroken I could try things like:

Flex patches
forcing experiment flags
spoofing iPad/tablet layout
any Discord tweaks that are still applicable to my version (Enmity / Revenge / Vendetta etc.)

Has anyone figured out a way to restore the split sidebar + chat layout on newer Discord versions?

I've put together helper scripts that build curl-impersonate and curl-cffi locally on-device, working around the upstream pip wheels that reject iPhone model identifiers.

**What it solves:** - Upstream wheels don't handle iPhone machine IDs cleanly - Build backends fail on jailbroken devices - curl-impersonate needs patching for iPhone TLS stack

**What's included:** - `build_curl_impersonate_iphone.sh` - builds lexiforest/curl-impersonate locally - `install_curl_cffi_iphone.sh` - installs cffi + patches curl-cffi build scripts

Is anyone having these UI glitches on iOS 14 YouTube after getting YouTube Legacy? Text format appears off and some icons don't show

I’m on iOS 14.4.1 using YouTube version 19.09.4 installed through TrollStore. I also have uYou 3.0.3 tweak installed.

After installing YouTube Legacy 1.9.1~b2, it causes this UI glitches (text format appears off and some icons don’t show. It also causes the comments to not have the grey background so they appear behind a white background):

If I install 19.20.2 from AppStore I don’t get these glitches but I don’t like the floating dock in version 20 (https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/s/6hd1vXBnMz) which version 19 doesn’t have, but the problem is version 19 crashes if I try to get it from the AppStore (only installing the version 19 ipa via TrollStore works but has the problem described above).

My goal is to install YouTube version 19.09.4 (that has a much nicer floating dock) with uYou 3.0.3 and YouTube Legacy, and without having crash/graphical issues above.

Any advice will be appreciated.
